Andrea Turco graduated with a Master’s Degree and a 4.0 GPA from the University of Texas at Arlington, one of the top university level Social Work programs in the country. After graduation Mrs. Turco practiced at a residential mental health and substance abuse facility. She was later hired at a local DFW Intensive Outpatient Program as their Lead Therapist. During her tenure she was instrumental in the growth of their clinical department from one to four DFW locations and ultimately achieved the position of Clinical Director within just three years. In that time, she also was responsible for helping obtain JCAHO (Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations) licensing which is considered the highest level of accreditation in the medical and mental health fields.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mrs. Turco has furthered her education by receiving training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy. This research-backed therapy helps to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories by reprocessing those adverse life experiences. Mrs. Turco’s continuing passion for education is fueled by her commitment to helping others succeed in their objectives and goals through counseling in a supportive and empathetic environment.
